Dunder Mifflin Floor Plan: The Scranton Office, Framed
Fans have been drawing the Dunder Mifflin floor plan for years. There are seating charts that follow every desk move season by season, a quiz that asks you to click where each character sat, and a popular Reddit post made for everyone who never worked out where accounting is. It makes sense. The Scranton branch is one of the most familiar workplaces on television, and none of us has ever walked through it.
We make 3D floor plan frames, and The Office: Dunder Mifflin is our fan-inspired take on the Scranton office. Here's what the frame shows, how it compares with the set the show was filmed on, and why it makes a good gift for someone who has watched all nine seasons more than once.

The Dunder Mifflin floor plan on our frame
The frame shows the whole office floor from straight above. We laser-cut the walls from pine and build them up in layers, so they stand off the backing and pick up small shadows as the light changes through the day. The desks, chairs and tables are engraved into the floor.
You can follow a working day across it. The curved reception desk sits near the entrance. The main room is filled with desks pushed together in small groups, the way the sales team sat. Along the top runs the conference room with its long table, which our product page describes as the room "where nothing got done". There's a private office with its own desk and chairs for the manager, a stairwell in the middle of the building, and a run of smaller rooms and desks on the far side.
Under the plan, the label reads Dunder Mifflin Paper Company, 1725 Slough Avenue, Scranton PA, with The Office in small type beneath it. As the product page also points out, the World's Best Boss mug is sold separately.
Dunder Mifflin office layout vs the real set
You can't visit the Scranton branch. The Office is set in Scranton, Pennsylvania, but the office you see on screen was a set in Panorama City, Los Angeles, and the Slough Avenue address on our label is the one used in the show.
The best-known record of that set is a blueprint drawn by set designer Jeff Beck in April 2008. The fan site OfficeTally shared Beck's blueprint in 2009, with permission from Beck and NBC. It marks the doors, desks and walls of the whole set, from reception and accounting to the kitchen, the break room and Michael's office. Even then, OfficeTally pointed out that it was a little out of date.
That's the thing about the Dunder Mifflin office layout: it moves. Desks were added when the Stamford staff arrived, people swapped seats, and a new office was built partway through the series.
So any Dunder Mifflin floor plan is really a plan of the office as it looks on screen at one point in its life. Ours is a fan-inspired layout of the office as most people picture it, not a copy of the set blueprint or a survey of a real building.

The Office floor plan as a gift for fans
Most gifts for fans of The Office are mugs, shirts and desk toys, and there are a lot of them. The official NBC shop alone has hundreds. They're fun, but they say the joke out loud.
A floor plan is quieter. It reads as architecture first, so it looks at home in a living room or a study, and someone who knows the show recognizes it right away. Guests who have never seen an episode just see a wooden plan of an office.
It suits a few people especially well. The friend who has rewatched the series more times than they'd admit. The colleague who wants something on their own desk that makes them smile on a Monday. The sibling who has just moved and would like one thing on the wall that's actually theirs.
The size helps too. The frame is about 24 by 32.7 cm, 4.5 cm deep and around 0.7 kg. It hangs on a wall or stands on a shelf or desk by itself, like in the photos here.
A housewarming gift for an Office fan, with a small extra
If the frame is going to someone's new place, put something small next to it that only a fan would understand. A plain white teapot works for anyone who remembers Jim's Christmas present for Pam. A pot of chili works too, as long as you carry it very carefully.
The frame also sits well next to other favorites. Our Iconic Shows collection has Dunder Mifflin alongside Central Perk and Apartments 19 and 20 from Friends, Jerry's Apartment 5A from Seinfeld, Apartments 4A and 4B from The Big Bang Theory and the McCallister House from Home Alone. They're all the same size and the same pine, so two side by side on a shelf look like they belong together.
If the person you're shopping for loves more than one sitcom, we've also written about the Seinfeld apartment floor plan, put together some Friends housewarming gift ideas, and looked at the Home Alone house floor plan for anyone who'd rather have something for Christmas.

How long it takes to arrive
Every frame is made to order in Singapore and assembled by hand. It takes 3 to 5 days to make and arrives within about 10 days. We ship worldwide, and customs can add a few days in some countries.
For a birthday or Christmas, order early. If your date is tight, email us at myhausframes@gmail.com before you order and we'll do what we can.
Or frame a place that's theirs
The Office was always more about the people than the building. If the person you're buying for has a real place that matters to them, like a first apartment or a new home, our Signature 3D floor plan frame is made from the plan of that home. You send us the plan as a JPG, PNG or PDF (hand-drawn plans are fine), and you approve a digital preview before anything is cut. You can send the plan after you order, so it still works if you need to quietly get hold of it first.
A note on our fan-inspired design
Our Dunder Mifflin frame is a fan-inspired layout, based on how the office appears in the show. It isn't official merchandise. Hausframes is not affiliated with, licensed by or endorsed by The Office, NBC, Universal Television or the show's other rights holders.
Dunder Mifflin floor plan FAQ
Is Dunder Mifflin a real office?
No. Dunder Mifflin is the paper company in The Office, and the Scranton branch only exists in the show. The series is set in Scranton, Pennsylvania, but the office you see on screen was a set in Panorama City, Los Angeles.
What does the Dunder Mifflin floor plan look like?
On our frame you see the whole office from above: the curved reception desk by the entrance, desks pushed together in small groups across the main room, the conference room with its long table, a private office with its own desk, a stairwell in the middle and smaller rooms on the far side. The walls are raised in pine and the furniture is engraved into the floor.
Is there an original blueprint of The Office set?
Yes. Set designer Jeff Beck drew a blueprint of the Dunder Mifflin Scranton set in April 2008, and the fan site OfficeTally shared it in 2009 with permission from Beck and NBC. The seating changed over the seasons, so no single plan matches every episode.
What is a good gift for fans of The Office?
Something that can stay out after the joke has landed. A framed Dunder Mifflin floor plan works as decor in a living room, study or office, and anyone who knows the show recognizes it straight away.
Is the Dunder Mifflin frame a good housewarming gift?
It works well for a fan who has just moved, because it gives them one piece for the wall or a shelf that feels like theirs. It hangs up or stands on its own, so it suits a small apartment too.
Is the Hausframes Dunder Mifflin frame official merchandise?
No. It's a fan-inspired design made by Hausframes. We're not affiliated with, licensed by or endorsed by The Office, NBC, Universal Television or the show's other rights holders.
How long does the Dunder Mifflin frame take to arrive?
Each frame is made to order in Singapore and assembled by hand. It takes 3 to 5 days to make and arrives within about 10 days, and we ship worldwide.
